Why outsource golf course maintenance with IGM?

The golf industry is not the same as it was  in the past and it continues to change every day.  Owners can no longer take a "build it, and they will come" approach.  It is a business and trusting the maintenance of your greatest asset to a team of professionals has never made better business sense.  With IGM, you can fix your golf course maintenance budget so that you can accurately project expenditures, unload your maintenance headaches, enjoy the synergy of a team and their unlimited resources, experience superior staff training, take pleasure in an enhanced environmental awareness on your property and benefit from the extraordinary value IGM can provide.  Our business is golf course maintenance and only golf course maintenance. Our singular focus makes us a great partner for almost any golf operation.
Will I lose control of my golf maintenance operation?
Not with IGM. We give you more control over the results of golf course maintenance activities by allocating the resources needed to the things that will produce better playing conditions and improved revenue. Through our experience and expertise in the industry we are able to help identify the most effective use of your maintenance dollars often reducing your overall costs. You get more time to concentrate on the things that are important to you because we take the burden of dealing with things like numerous vendor accounts, writing payroll checks, managing worker's compensation risks, managing staff, applying pesticides effectively and dealing with regulatory agencies. The needs of every operation are a little different and our team will provide a customized approach that gives you and your operation the best chance for success.
What happens to my maintenance staff when I outsource with IGM?
Together, we develop a transition plan that meets the mutual needs of you, the employees and IGM. Your incumbent staff is always offered the first opportunity to take positions with IGM. Many times IGM will hire the entire staff and indoctrinate them to our methods, procedures and expected level of performance. In the wake of change, it is inevitable that some people will elect to seek employment elsewhere. Our track record is our best reference here. We have numerous success stories of incumbent staff members assuming leadership roles and having successful long-term careers with us.
Will my superintendent enjoy working for International Golf Maintenance?
Yes! All of IGM's superintendents are excited about the growth and security of our company. With the number of golf courses that IGM has under maintenance contract growing every day, we are able to offer advancement opportunities to our most talented golf course superintendents. Plus, our superintendents are supported by a group of peers with similar interests and backgrounds. Our superintendents are in contact with one another via phone, fax, email, online discussion forums and attend the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America’s annual convention as a group. We take team building seriously because it is the collective effort and the singular focus of our team on your needs to ensures success.
What happens to my golf course maintenance equipment inventory?
It’s up to you. In most cases, the golf course maintenance inventory remains your asset and we become responsible for its upkeep. We will provide you with reports showing how preventative and repair items are being handled by our highly qualified equipment technicians. In certain cases, we will assume use of your equipment and augment the inventory with our own equipment. And in other cases, IGM can provide a complete pallet of equipment to meet all of the operation’s needs. With this option, you carry no equipment on your books and we make arrangements for all necessary future replacements. Regardless of your situation, we can find an approach that will meet your needs.
What are my ongoing payroll liabilities once I've contracted with IGM?
All payroll costs are included in your payments to IGM. We assume responsibility for payroll, payroll taxes, employee insurance and other employee benefits. By virtue of the size of our group, we are able to offer a competitive benefits package at affordable rates.
How am I assured that IGM is doing what you say you will do?
Constant communication – that’s how. We are constantly communicating with you via scheduled meetings, radio, cell phones, telephone, fax and email. We go to great lengths to keep you informed and ensure that the needs of your course and business are being met
How does IGM determine its price for my golf course?
It starts with a clear understanding of your needs and expectations. Then, we determine the right amount of resources – personnel, materials, supplies and equipment – that will be required to execute an agronomic program that’s right for your golf course and your business. No two golf courses are the same…so we have to evaluate each operation based on the expectations for quality and the agronomic needs of the golf course. From estimating man-hours to determining fertility rates, IGM does extensive background work to ensure that we propose the appropriate plan and provide adequate resources to meet your needs.
How do I know if IGM's service will work for me?
Ask us for a no-obligation evaluation - it’s the only way you’ll know if it can work for you. We understand the market and we know our services may not be right for every golf operation; however, there is a good chance that you can find value in having us as your golf course maintenance partner.
